“No one said life was easy….but with great determination, passion and strength everything is possible”

Oh boy do I know it! I also know I am far from the only one. It’s very easy for some

people battered by life’s boxing gloves to throw in the towel and retreat to their corner,

but where to go from there? Stay in the corner forever clinging to the ropes for dear life?

It’s never easy, and nobody is saying it is. However, you and I realise that it’s
to your own advantage in the long run, to climb out of the ring through the
ropes and, with your head held high, retreat to the changing room in order to
regain your strength and determination for a return bout? The next encounter will

see you stronger, more determined, and better equipped to succeed resulting in YOUR

arm being raised as the winner when the final bell is rung. Ding, ding!

“Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how BLESSED you are”

Being forced through circumstance to live our lives with the restrictions
necessary to safeguard us, our loved ones and anyone we may come in contact
with, we may lose sight of the blessings we do have. We’re so used to being preoccupied with resolving
the perhaps more mundane issues of daily life such as earning a living, childcare,
relationships, paying our bills, etc., there’s no time for anything else. Life at
the moment has presented us all with a situation none of us has, and hopefully
never will again, experience. Sure, we’re frightened of what it’s going to mean
for us all, whether it’s a positive or negative outcome for each and every one
of us personally. We just don’t know that as yet. However, there may be times when we are
reminded of the bigger picture; perhaps an embrace or kiss from a loved one,
the unexpected kindness of a stranger, the laughter of a child, the gift of
good health. That’s when we realise how blessed we really are, and acknowledge

and give thanks to our personal God/Goddess, the Universe, Spirit, whatever or

whoever we revere and find solace and comfort in. Having an “anchor” and being

able to celebrate what we do have rather than what we lack gives us the power to

journey forward through life knowing we are not alone, but that our beliefs and

blessings remain with us every step of the way, no matter what lies ahead..

“Care about what other people think of you and you will always be their prisoner.”

I can certainly see the logic in this can’t you?
Self-explanatory really, though I suspect we have all been guilty of this at
some time in our lives and, perhaps, still are! We may subconsciously or not
seek other people’s approval of what we do and, indeed who we are. Not
realising we are allowing them control over us and how we live our lives
and, in fact, present ourselves to the World. Try doing what YOU want to do,
the way YOU want to, how YOU want to, and you may be surprised at how liberated
you feel, perhaps for the first time in a very long while. Refuse to be
    anyone’s prisoner ever again.

"If someone dumps on you.....use it as compost!"

Not a very pleasant turn of phrase but it does serve a purpose. There can’t be manyof us who haven’t been “dumped” on by someone in the past. Maybe totallyunexpectedly, out of the blue, didn’t see that coming…..but dumped onnevertheless. It’s what we decide to do with what’s been dumped that separatesthe men from the boys or the women from the girls. Use the “dump” as compost inyour own personal virtual garden and see how the flowers named “lessonslearned” grow tall and strong. Hopefully, that will be all the compost you’llever need.

"Don't belittle yourself. Be BIG yourself!"

Occasionally we are our own worst enemy. You know what I mean. Somebody will ask us to do something and we refuse saying we're not up to it, don't have the confidence, the skills, etc., etc. The downside of this is that, if we do this long enough, we're in danger of believing our own hype and what self-confidence we do have takes a nosedive. Much, much better to say, "Okay, maybe I haven't done this before" or "I don't have much experience but I'm happy to give it a go." If you keep putting yourself down then others will too but, if YOU believe in yourself and are willing to at least try, then look out World!
